At the helm of UC Davis is Chancellor Gary May is propelling the university to new heights in academic excellence, inclusion, public service, and upward mobility for a diverse student body of over 40,000. With a career dedicated to championing diversity and mentorship, Chancellor May will contribute valuable insights from the higher education and workplace arenas.

The Sacramento region is buzzing with enthusiasm as we warmly greet the two latest presidents stepping into their new leadership positions in education. Luke Wood, recently selected to lead Sacramento State, is recognized as a "champion for access, educational excellence, and student success." An equity-driven leader with a demonstrated history of innovation, President Wood will continue to elevate Sacramento State's vision during its period of continued transformational growth. Last fall, 30,883 students were enrolled at Sac State, solidifying its position as the sixth-largest campus in the CSU system.

Meanwhile, Lisa Cardoza, has been selected to the top spot at American River College, guides a vibrant institution enrolling approximately 30,000 students each spring and fall, making it one of California's larger higher education institutions.
