With immense gratitude to the Sierra Health Foundation, the MLK Committee has once again contributed to its student scholarship fund at Sacramento State. This $10,000 donation brings the Enomoto/MLK Celebration Committee Scholarship Fund to a total of $45,902, further supporting students in their academic journeys.
The MLK Committee Establishes Student Scholarship Fund at Sacramento State with an Initial Donation of $35,902.
On Monday, March 18, 2024, the MLK Committee donated an initial contribution of $35,902 to the newly established Dr. Dorothy and Jerry Enomoto/MLK Committee Sacramento Student Scholarship Fund at Sacramento State University.
Members of the MLK Committee, comprising President Vince Miles, Treasurer Thomas Sheff, and MLK Event Producer Michael Alcalay, ceremoniously presented the check to Sacramento State President Luke Wood and Charles Nelsen, the university's Director of Development.
This donation, made in memory of our founders, the Enomotos and the MLK Committee Sacramento, is just the beginning. We're striving to reach our $50,000 goal to provide meaningful scholarships for deserving students.
